Equitas is assisting our client in the search for an inspiring and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will have a passion for science and a commitment to delivering engaging and innovative lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
- Use varied teaching methods to engage students and encourage a positive attitude toward science.
- Prepare students for external assessments, ensuring all learners have the support needed to achieve their potential.

Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with the science department to develop and refine the science curriculum, aligning with national standards.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and use practical demonstrations to deepen students’ understanding.
- Stay updated with scientific advancements and integrate current topics into the curriculum where appropriate.

Pastoral Support:
- Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support and contributing to the broader life of the school.
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance, helping to create a positive and safe learning environment.

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- A degree in science or a related field.
- Experience teaching science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience an advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge, passion for science, and the ability to bring concepts to life.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
