The successful candidate will have a passion for science and a commitment to delivering engaging and innovative lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:

    • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
    • Use varied teaching methods to engage students and encourage a positive attitude toward science.
    • Prepare students for external assessments, ensuring all learners have the support needed to achieve their potential.
  • Curriculum Development:

    • Collaborate with the science department to develop and refine the science curriculum, aligning with national standards.
    • Implement innovative teaching strategies and use practical demonstrations to deepen students’ understanding.
    • Stay updated with scientific advancements and integrate current topics into the curriculum where appropriate.
  • Pastoral Support:

    • Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support and contributing to the broader life of the school.

  • Professional Development:

Key Requirements:
