I'm currently working with a prestigious main contractor who are recruiting for a Senior Estimator to join their team. Looking for someone who has experience in refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects within the education, healthcare or social housing sector with project values ranging from 50K - 15m.

The Role of Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for producing estimates from BQ's and Drawing & specifications, under both traditional and design & build contracts.

Responsibilities for the Senior Estimator:

  • Appraisal and evaluation of client tender requirements and specifications in bid preparation
  • Develop subcontract trade package enquiries
  • Producing tender risk information
  • Providing early-stage project cost plans

Requirements for Senior Estimator

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Competence in computerised estimating and take-off software and general IT skills
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Drive and enthusiasm to succeed and improve
  • Ability to self-motivate and work to deadlines
  • Works well under pressure
