Catering Equipment Engineer

Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus performance bonus and on-call pay

40 hours per week across 5 days including rotational weekends

Our Catering Equipment Manager

Working as part of our wider Engineering team, we're looking for an experienced equipment engineer to work across our whole Estate but with a focus on the hospitality side of the business - ensuring our teams can always provide our guests with an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preventive maintenance, modification and rectification and overhaul of domestic and commercial equipment
  • First time, fault finding and rectification at component level on wide range of equipment used in the hospitality sector
  • Problem solving and solutions approach to ensure business continuity in a high tempo environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing our processes and procedures from end to end.
  • Developing and implementing process enhancement strategies.
  • Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in our current processes.
  • Monitoring staff performance and organisational processes as well as training, mentoring, and guiding team members on new processes and techniques.
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to enhance and streamline productivity and staff satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in management and process optimisation.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial equipment engineer capacity
  • Some areas are in confined spaces and some heavy lifting is required
  • Hands on experience
  • Hospitality experience an asset working with guests in a timely and professional manner
  • Self-managing and ordering of items required
  • Self-motivated with a sense of initiative and pride in helping guests and visitors alike
