SEN Teaching Assistant - Challenging Behaviour Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teaching Assistant at a welcoming two-form entry Mainstream Primary School in Yate. The school is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small cohort of children with challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain experience in education and training.

The Role

  • Supporting students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other additional needs
  • Helping manage challenging behaviour with confidence and a calm approach
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCO to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Gaining valuable experience in education and training

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEN (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.)
  • Team Teach training (highly desirable)
  • A degree (preferred) or strong GCSEs in Maths & English (C or above)
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs
