A thriving mainstream primary school in Yate, South Gloucestershire is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from April 2025 on a full-time, permanent contract to support children with special educational needs.

This welcoming primary school is located in Yate, South Gloucestershire, with excellent transport links and accessibility via bus and car.

For these SEN Teaching Assistant roles, the school is seeking two dedicated individuals who have experience working with children with SEN, as well as recent graduates in Education, Psychology, Criminology, or an SEN-related degree who have a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The children in this mainstream primary school have a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and learning difficulties. If you have experience working 1-2-1 with SEN students or have a strong desire to support children with additional needs, these roles could be perfect for you.

The positions are available in EYFS, KS1, and KS2, so depending on your experience and preference, there are opportunities available to suit your skills.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children in the classroom, assisting the class teacher and helping to create a supportive learning environment. Your main role will be to build a strong rapport with your allocated student, boost their confidence, and help them access the best possible education.
