My client designs and manufactures environmental monitoring technology to make the world safer, cleaner and smarter

They are looking for a mechanical design engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your responsibilities:

The role of design engineer, on occasion, may also require product & customer support anywhere in the world & in demanding offshore locations - so a willingness to travel at short notice will be needed.

• Demonstrate a sound & comprehensive knowledge of fundamental engineering theories, aptitude for design & ability to problem solve.
• Can show evidence of having produced component & assembly drawings to a recognised standard.
• Producing & reading standard engineering drawings and ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Attention to detail: tolerances, safety factors, component specifications, materials selection, testing, build standard control
• Ability to communicate through out the company at all levels

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
