Position Summary:

We are in search of a PrincipalElectronics Engineer with a passion for working on advanced instrumentation and acoustic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of experience in analogue and digital circuit design, preferably within an environment focused on instrumentation development.

Responsibilities:
Engage in mixed signal design tasks including the development of pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for high-precision instrumentation applications.
Apply knowledge or experience in microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software.
Leverage some experience or familiarity with FPGA-based circuit design.
Operate independently or collaboratively as part of a team, covering all stages of the product development cycle, from requirement analysis, design & development, to production.
Generate comprehensive design documentation and test specifications.
Demonstrate practical skills in electronics engineering; IPC training is available to enhance these capabilities.

Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience and expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, ideally within an instrumentation development context.
Proficiency in mixed signal design for precision instrumentation applications.
Essential knowledge or experience in microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software.
Proficiency in CAD Schematic layout and PCB design
Desirable knowledge or experience in FPGA-based circuit design.
Ability to work effectively both as an individual and within a team environment, contributing to all phases of the product development process.
Capability to produce detailed design documentation and test specifications.
Candidate must be a UK Citizen, hold a UK Passport and be eligible for SC Clearance.

Additional Requirements:
While not a primary role requirement, practical hands-on skills are valued, and IPC training can be arranged to support skill development.
The position may require occasional off-shore support, including some overseas travel, as needed.
