Principal Electronics Engineer Wanted!
Our client is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to join their team permanently. The Principal Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications. The Principal Electronics Engineer must also have leadership/mentoring experience and knowledge of FPGA, Microcontrollers and Circuit Design.
Key Responsibilities for the Principal Electronics Engineer:
- Develop and provide technical standards and guidance in all software design and development
- Provide design reviews and give technical recommendations
- Participate in risk assessments and mitigating activities
- Guide staff to ensure the project assignments are completed on time and within budget
- Provide technical support to Sales and Manufacturing departments
- Mentor and develop engineering team
- Provide support to Director of Engineering and co-ordinate Electronics Engineering projects and tasks
Skills Required for the Principal Electronics Engineer:
- OrCAD design software or experience with similar tools
- Experience/knowledge of microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software essential
- Experience/knowledge of FPGA-based circuit design
- Produced design documentation and test specifications
- Work independently and/or as part of a team
- IPC trained (training can be provided)
- Mixed signal design including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications
