Certain Advantage is hiring for a Project Manager, for a technically advanced manufacturer, based in Northeast Hampshire.

This role is on a permanent basis and is predominantly based at the company's manufacturing facility.

Are you a Project Manager, with a background managing Manufacturing and / or defence projects, looking to join a renowned leader in the development of cutting-edge sensor technology, where you will be working primarily on NPI and NPD projects for Defence and Maritime industries?

You will be in a pivotal role, involved in project-managing the design and development of bespoke, high value underwater commercial products and defence projects.

The Role:

This role would suit someone with a strong background in Project Management for manufacturing, and / or Defence.

You'll be a key member of the Engineering team, operating at the intersection of design / development, manufacturing, operations and client liaison

  • Deliver custom projects within budget, and to specification, ensuring proper planning, resourcing and executive. Assist with NRE estimations, monitor costs, and raise deviations with SLT
  • Ensure comprehensive project specifications and designs are produced that identify and document functional requirements and performance characteristics of the system
  • Develop test procedures to validate the integrated hardware/firmware/software elements and deliverable configured systems with documented results
  • Prepare and control Project documentation to individual customer requirements
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders / clients


The Individual:

We're looking for people who can show:

  • Project Management experience, from a Manufacturing and / or Defence background
  • Knowledge of the Product Development process / lifecycle
  • Degree level or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline
  • Ideally a relevant qualification, such as APM, PMQ, PRINCE2 or similar
