About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Dispatch Supervisor / Operative to join a leading manufacturer of garden buildings. This role is ideal for individuals comfortable with lone working, as you will be responsible for overseeing the dispatch operations independently.
Your primary duties will include dispatching garden products, conducting regular stock checks, receiving shipments, coordinating and overseeing the unloading and loading of lorries, and preparing orders for delivery.
A valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily customer order manifests and prepare required orders.
- Update stock control systems related to orders and inventory.
- Coordinate and oversee the unloading and loading of lorries, ensuring timely dispatch of garden products.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Replenish timber stock and products to designated orders.
- Maintain communication with management regarding warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or dispatch role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities without direct supervision.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
- Basic computer skills for updating stock control and order processing systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
