Sustainment Officer

Morson Talent currently have an opportunity available for a Sustainment Officer to work on the behalf of our Aerospace client based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a full-time position to work on an ongoing contract.

Key accountabilities:
• Monitor UART (Unserviceable Asset Return Time) to ensure that it is maintained at the contracted level. Recommend corrective or preventive actions to the relevant SLC or Industry Alliance to maintain UART delivery.
• Provide timely advice to the Sustainment Controller concerning potential supply deficiencies, (critical stock shortages, inabilities).
• Prepare and, when tasked, deliver presentations to the customer.
• Utilising LHD tools, manage the IOS inventory by exception management, investigate and identify solutions to potential stock outs and surplus stock.
• Identify, assess and review future 2nd line repair requirement for problem items and escalate to the Sustainment Controller / Material Planning Team for consideration.
• Where applicable, assess R4 repair Expected Rate of Return (EROR) in conjunction with the Sustainment Team / Material Planning Team.
• Ensure risks, when identified will be recorded and escalated utilising the contractual mechanism or internal processes.
• Provide feedback to your line manager about process improvement activities and opportunities for service improvement and best practice principles to maximise efficiency.
• Proactively manage process change programmes, including identification, analysis and impact evaluation, to improve service delivery and cost reduction opportunities.
• Develop and maintain the customer relationships required to support the delivery of the contract, ensuring a close liaison is established with management representatives within the customer domain.
