Exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to support the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP). Prior Legal experience is essential with a clear understanding of regulatory requirements.

This is a business critical function and requires someone who is confident working on their own initiative and comfortable communicating effectively with people at all levels.

 Responsibilites of the Role

  • To support/assist the COLP with all aspects of Risk and Compliance.
  • To play a key role in the compliance of the Company
  • To assist with complaints and claims.
  • Organise Monthly Risk and Compliance meetings and prepare agenda
  • Take notes at meetings and circulate
  • Produce monthly and Annual Compliance reports and collate any other relevant information
  • To support/assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
  • To update and monitor the Company’s Office Manual including all compliance policies and procedures.
  • To act as first point of call for staff compliance queries.
  • To administer, update and train staff on the Company’s compliance platform


Skills & Experience

  • Legal experience.
  • Confident understanding of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules
  • Ability to deal with Issue Resolution
  • Engaging Personality that can communicate at levels
  • Have a Pro-active approach

Happy to work as part of a Team as well as Independently

As you could be working in different offices it is essential that you have a valid driving license and own your own vehicle

To earn the higher level of salary you will need to demonstrate skills and experience at interview
