Your new companyAs a highly skilled Property Services Surveyor, you will join a predominantly Southwest-based provider of affordable housing who are responsible for the management and maintenance of over 50,000 homes regionally, serving over 114,000 customers across the patch. You will be joining a customer first organisation, a landlord who is guided by the customers, listening to what they say about the type of community and community by which they'd like to live in. Your new roleYou will help to provide a property surveying service across your portfolio of homes, a varied role which will allow you to utilise your full range of surveying skills. You will provide technical leadership to a variety of multidisciplinary projects which are delivered by in-house teams and external approved contractors, ensuring that the business maintains compliance with statutory obligations and meets customer expectations. In addition to the above, you will help the team to deliver an effective defect diagnosis service, providing support in relation to identifying, inspecting, and providing solutions to problems and defects within the housing stock. What you'll need to succeed

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including teamwork, networking, and negotiation skills and the ability to positively motivate all stakeholders whilst building trusted relationships.
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads to deliver an outstanding service to the partnered departments.
  • Poses a commercially astute approach with a focus on obtaining value for money.
  • A relevant degree or HND / HNC in building surveying or an equivalent construction related qualification.
