- Support and develop learners of all abilities to gain essential employability skills within our ‘Learning Companies’ or external work experience placements.
- Collaborate with Careers and Work Placement Coordinators to ensure the smooth operation of the Learning Companies, monitor students' progress, and support them in recognizing the skills and knowledge they are developing.
- Although the majority of our Learning Companies are based on site, staff will be required to travel to alternative external placements as part of the role.
- Support learners working in Learning Companies and on external work experience placements.
- Help learners identify, organize, and execute daily tasks as part of their work experience.
- Adhere to and support current health & safety recording processes, ensuring employers are informed of the Work Experience/Industry Placement program, including health & safety, Prevent, and equal opportunity requirements.
- When working offsite, maintain high professional standards and establish regular contact with the base site.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to plan and agree on learning opportunities and tasks.
- Deliver outcomes while working unsupervised and adapt or develop solutions for unique problems when necessary.
- Tailor coaching strategies to meet individual needs and adjust to changing job requirements.
- Stay updated on local labor market trends and collaborate with the Employer Engagement Team to develop and maintain strong relationships with employers.
- Source and develop placement opportunities with employers, provide advice, and offer links to Work Placements, Bootcamps, Apprenticeships, and Supported Internships.
- Ensure learners receive Health & Safety inductions from employers.
- Contribute to quality assurance and the improvement of procedures, including self-assessment, customer feedback, and meeting agreed service standards, Gatsby benchmarks, targets, and key performance indicators.
