DOORS Project Specialist / Yeovil, UK / £40 per hour PAYE

Our client, a leading Aerospace and defence organisation are seeking a highly skilled DOORS Project Specialist to support the implementation of the DOORS toolset in managing and delivering Pre-contract & Programme execution. The primary objective is to establish a coherent DOORS environment for the programme and create templates/guidelines for all programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-functional DOORS expertise within the Integrated Project Team (IPT).
  • Conduct training and offer on-call support.
  • Promote DOORS usage and a data-centric mindset.
  • Document the DOORS data structure and information model.
  • Configure the DOORS database for project scope and deliverables.
  • Implement requirements allocation and data structure.
  • Administer data access and track changes.
  • Support dashboards using DOORS to PowerBI.
  • Establish data exchange policies.
  • Customise DXL attributes and scripts.
  • Maintain the requirements management plan.
  • Ensure bi-directional traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with major defence projects.
  • Expert in DOORS and data integration (5+ years).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Basic DXL customisation.
  • Knowledge of acquisition frameworks and change management

This is a temporary contrac until June 2025 with the potential to extend
