This thriving firm of experienced accountants is looking for a detail-orientated and highly organised professional, with good time management and strong IT skills who can oversee the provision of audits from planning to completion as well as accounting services for a significant client portfolio with large associated turnovers. Consisting of large corporate entities this role will suit someone who is technically excellent and has first-class attention to detail.

You’ll be a great communicator and be unphased by serving clients with large turnovers. Enhancing client relationships will be a large part of the role so you’ll also need excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. You will also be able to build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst always striving to deliver excellence.

A great motivator of people you’ll possess the ability to nurture and inspire your team and lead the provision of audit and accounting to a high standard.

Job Purpose

  • Management of audits, from planning to completion
  • Preparation of accounts for corporate organisations, as well as corporation tax returns.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
  • Provide quotes and estimate fees.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting with their learning and development
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader
