Job Title: Combi Operator/Loader
Location: Henstridge
Experience: Experience driving forklift or combi-lifts, working with steel, or working in a warehouse environment is desirable not essential.
Duties
- Working as part of the team of operators, picking and collating steel to order and preparing them for loading as and when orders are generated
- Identifying and locating different steel products, using appropriate measuring equipment and replenishing stock in the racks
- Unloading lorries, batching and allocating steel to appropriate locations as necessary
- Collating and planning customer orders as per the pre-determined load list and loading the lorry accordingly.
- Attending all training courses when required
- Following all safe systems of work at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, with valid certification being an advantage.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience in equipment repair will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role effectively.
