HRGO Recruitment are looking for an organised and meticulous individual to join our clients Secondary School in Yeovil as an Exams Officer. The successful candidate will be required to coordinate students for exams, collect finished exam papers and safely store and liaise with exam boards to ensure students are registered.

The role will be supported by the Senior Exams Manager.

General Duties

  • Co-ordinate and register subject and pupil entries with the appropriate examination board.
  • Consult and liaise with exam boards as required, to resolve clashes and queries over exam papers.
  • Plan and recommend a timetable for staging of internal & external examinations, from which pupil and invigilators timetables are produced.
  • Co-ordinate the accommodation schedule for assessments & exams. Will work with the IT & site team to ensure issues surrounding exam venues, layouts and timings are promptly resolved and adhere to statutory guidelines.
  • Issuing guidance and information to students and their families regarding exams
  • Will organise delivery, secure storage and posting of completed examination scripts.
  • Responsible for processing correct exam entries by appropriate deadlines to avoid excess charges.

Role Requirements:

  • Proven administration experience required
  • Previous experience in same or similar environment
  • IT literate and confident using Microsoft packages
  • The role is subject to a DBS check
  • Must be flexible with working hours during exam season
