Job Advert: Parts Manager - Main Dealer, Automotive Sector

Location: Yeovil
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Salary: 29,000 - 34,000 + Bonuses & Overtime

Are you an experienced Parts Manager looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading Main Dealer in the automotive sector, based in Yeovil.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Parts Department: Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels, manage orders, and track inventory to meet the needs of the dealership and customers.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers, ensuring that all parts requests are fulfilled promptly and accurately.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of parts advisors, ensuring they meet sales targets and provide high-quality service.
  • Sales Performance: Drive parts sales through effective marketing, promotions, and customer engagement.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with company policies and legal regulations, and prepare regular reports for management.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role within the automotive sector is essential.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and inventory management systems.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets and maintain high levels of performance.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to meeting customer needs.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using inventory management software and standard office applications.
