Vacancy: Quality Manager

Location: Yeovil, Somerset

Salary: £35k-£45k DOE

JHP Recruitment are seeking a methodical and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our packaging distribution client on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading a Quality department in conducting internal and external audits, supporting Quality Technicians in their roles, and communicating with management and other teams to ensure compliant delivery of goods.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the managing of the Quality department effectively, ensuring the highest standards of goods are imported and exported at all times by monitoring internal and external processes
  • Lead compliance meetings, addressing all actions and ensuring they are completed in accordance with timescales
  • Be a BRCGS, ISO9001, ISO14001 and FSC internal auditor, and lead the audit team in conducting all internal and external audits in accordance with the yearly schedule
  • Be responsible for planning, scheduling and delivering regular hygiene and quality audits
  • Respond to any customer quality complaints and queries
  • Continuously update and maintain a detailed Quality Management System

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external teams
  • Qualified in conducting internal ISO, FSC, and BRCGS audits
  • Effective problem solving and logical decision-making ability
  • Great understanding of quality procedures and processes
  • Experience in a similar role within a packaging company is desirable
