As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include first response for machine breakdowns, efficiently diagnosing issues and implementing resolutions. You will manage and adhere to the planned maintenance schedule for all site machinery, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Building and sustaining positive relationships with original equipment manufacturers will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, you will maintain a comprehensive and well-organized spare parts stock to facilitate prompt machine repairs and complete thorough error logs and service files, ensuring all records are detailed and accurate.
You will also be expected to ensure SOC completion and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) directives will be among your key responsibilities. You will also review machine breakdowns and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences. Managing contractors to ensure they comply with site regulations regarding Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), inductions, and work permits will be an important aspect of your role.
The Maintenance Engineer
*Strong mechanical and fitting background.
*Extensive experience with various types of machine tools, including lathes, mills, CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and presses.
*Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
