A family-owned animal feed manufacturer, looking to recruit an Engineer to work within our current team, the role will be based at our mill in Yeovil. This is a full-time permanent role, as part of a well-established  team, who support the manufacturing process.

We require a new member of the team to assist the Maintenance Manager to maintain the mill processing equipment to company & industry standards.

This role is critical to ensure that breakdowns and down time is kept to a minimum and maximum output is achieved to required quality standards.

 Applications from food, agricultural or other comparable industries would be well suited to this role and environment. 

Working hours will be 45hrs per week typically Monday to Friday, and additional call outs when required.

Typical duties:

  • As part of the on-site team, you will carry out daily operational checks and support production with equipment changes and setup.
  • In the event of breakdowns, assist with fault identification and correction. Following up on any improvements and feedback on preventative measures.
  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance works utilising the sites electronic maintenance system, (Pemac) and feedback on works undertaken.
