Our client, based in Yeovil (BA20), have an exciting opportunity for a Production Controller and are seeking an experienced individual to take on this position. The Production Controller plays a pivotal part in the process of manufacturing and production of Helicopters and parts, which are shipped both in the UK and all across the world. This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week. This includes half a day on Friday! This is a 12 months contract.

The Production Controller will be involved with:
  • Production Order Management to:
    • Finalise the rework and labour only production orders, ensuring all operations are clocked.
    • Update production order status/ comments where applicable i.e. quarantine.
    • Action shop queries e.g. serial number issues.
  • Shortages & Kitting to:
    • Run shortage reviews with other departments to expedite and prioritise parts and review forecasts against requirements.
    • Identify any risk associated with shortages or deliveries and escalate as appropriate.
    • Completing other activities to support the manufacturing shops as requested.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified to relevant Higher National Certificate or relevant work experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and an overview of MRP and material supply
  • Working knowledge of SAP within material management and production planning modules
  • Computer Literate (particularly in Excel) and strong communication skills
