Material Planner / Yeovil / £19.10 per hour

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Material Planning Specialist to maintain their world-class scheduling system and ensure our business objectives are met. You will work closely with major stakeholders both within and external to the business, utilising your expertise in MRP/Provisioning to challenge, validate, and apply judgment in the most cost-effective manner. Your role will involve manipulating SAP and/or Optimiza planning data to optimise our range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the scheduling system to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient planning and provisioning.
  • Utilize specialist knowledge in MRP/Provisioning to optimise planning data.
  • Provide flexibility in working hours to accommodate the time difference with our new plant in Canada.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience using SAP within a Material Planning role.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a material supply or manufacturing environment.
  • Background in Aerospace or high integrity manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of budgetary controls and reporting.
  • Proficiency in relevant company IT systems.
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent competency through experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across functional boundaries.
  • High level of customer focus and ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage tasks under pressure to maintain required service levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering projects within deadlines.

This is a Temporary contract until May 2025 with the potential to extend

Monday to Friday 37 hours a week
