Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a WMS Wildcat Role Equipment Operative to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious Aerospace clients based in Yeovilton.


Job Title: WMS Wildcat Role Equipment Operative

Our Wildcat Base Maintenance team carry out 300 hourly zonal maintenance on the 62 strong fleet of Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. On a 17-week programme, teams strip, clean, inspect and rectify the aircraft to return to the front-line squadrons. Our qualified engineers work a days' routine, fault finding and replacing components as required and ground running the aircraft prior to sending them forward.

Operating within a MAOS Part 145 framework, the organisation is professional and diligent, with air worthiness and health and safety paramount to its success.

SECTION 1 – JOB PURPOSE

1.1 The Wildcat RE Operative will conduct the required inspections, maintenance, and documentation, including IT systems on Wildcat AH and HMA RE, Task Essential Equipment (TEE) and Helicopter Underslung Load Equipment (HUSLE) for Wildcat Aircraft as directed by WMS Wildcat RE Supervisor and Wildcat RE Maintenance Supervisor

SECTION 2 – MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

2.1 The Wildcat RE Operative will be required to assist the Wildcat RE Supervisor in delivering the specified equipment configuration control, support, training and maintenance, servicing, and defect rectification functions, including but not limited to:

2.2 Conducting maintenance, preservation, anti-deterioration maintenance, servicing, and defect rectification activities to Wildcat RE and TEE holdings.

2.3 In the absence of the Supervisor, supply, issue, control and accept returns of all Modifications kits and Role Equipment to the Wildcat Fleet as directed.

2.4 Assist with GOLDesp data creation as required IAW JAP(D)100A-0409-1&2.

2.5 Assist the WMS Wildcat RE Supervisor to maintain compliancy with accounting transaction principles and regulations.

2.6 Assist with the management of repairable assets through workshops / supply chain.

2.7 Assist the WMS Wildcat Supervisor with the day to day running of the section and carry out any additional tasks as directed.

2.8 Maintain a full driving licence including category D1 and E, with the necessary classifications required for towing a trailer, and hold a valid Airfield Driving Permit

SECTION 3 – KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

3.1 Educated to a minimum of BTEC level 2 in an aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering training followed by relevant experience.

3.2 Knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes, including practical experience of forward operational support.

3.3 An understanding of the military helicopter operating environment and command structure, and of deployment and operational planning.

3.4 Self-motivated and work within teams.

40 hours per week, 7:30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 11:30am Friday.

Salary: Rate on application.
