A well established Aerospace organisaion are seeking a dynamic Buyer for a 9 month contract in Yeovil.
As a Buyer play a pivotal role within the team in Yeovil managing contracts and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to secure goods and services in line with company quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms while minimising risks.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring the smooth delivery of products and services.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Key Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience in procurement or commercial roles.
- Team player with the ability to coordinate multi-functional activities.
- Computer proficiency (SAP experience is a plus!)
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
