Job Description:

About this Role:

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a contractor that works in collaboration with several local authorities and private clients in the infrastructure and utilities sectors. They work on highways schemes in Somerset, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire based on NEC contracts.

They are seeking an Quantity Surveyor to join a small commercial team. Your role will be to assist a Senior Quantity Surveyor on various commercial duties.

You will be assisting with (but not limited to):

  • Maintaining deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar
  • Sending enquiries to subcontractors
  • Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with contracts managers and site agents
  • Notifying in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner
  • Producing and processing formal subcontract documents
  • Producing interim and final accounts

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

  • Degree in a construction related subject would be advantageous
  • Experience working in construction (required)
  • Experience working as a quantity surveyor or assistant quantity surveyor
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • NEC contract experience and knowledge
  • Full right to work in the UK
