Job Tittle: Quantity Surveyor - Yeovil, Somerset

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our well-established team. This exciting role will involve working on the refurbishment and new build of high-end residential properties, with projects valued up to £20m. You will be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team, delivering complex and large-scale projects, including specialist basement works. This is an excellent opportunity for continual challenge and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply a strong understanding of traditional building methods and products, particularly in the refurbishment of listed buildings and period properties.
  • Manage multiple high-value projects, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Maintain tight control over variations, assisting site and contracts managers with the accurate recording, pricing, and final account impacts of all variations.
  • Lead the calculation and preparation of company valuations and final accounts.
  • Present monthly job cost analysis data and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Analyze current processes and continuously develop improved working methods.
  • Assume full control of subcontract orders, applications, and manage subcontract enquiries to ensure all orders stay within budget.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, with a focus on refurbishment and new build projects in the high-end residential sector.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with Architects, Clients, Quantity Surveyors, and Subcontractors.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical, methodical approach to your work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring all financial elements are accurately recorded.
