Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Yeovil Outskirts

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Salary : Circa 25,000 PA

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Clerk / Assistant Accountant to join our client's finance team of 5. This role is crucial in supporting the Senior Financial / Management Accountant and ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the tenant's ledger, including preparing pre-lists, producing rent demands, handling tenant queries, and processing rent variation orders.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers on credit control and participate in regular meetings.
  • Manage the sales ledger by producing invoices, banking, processing receipts from customers, and undertaking sales ledger credit control.
  • Perform banking and petty cash duties.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments, reconciliations, and accountancy work as required.
  • Assist estate office employees to enhance the performance of their duties and the effective management of the site.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting and other associated records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a finance team.
  • Strong understanding of sales and tenant ledger management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Office Suite.
