Your Key Responsibilities

As a Relief Security Officer, you'll be involved in a variety of security duties to ensure the safety and security of the site, including:

  • Internal & External Patrols: Conduct thorough patrols both day and night, regardless of weather conditions, to maintain a visible security presence.
  • Access Control: Manage site access, including vehicle barriers, reception stations, and visitor identification checks.
  • Site Security: Ensure the security and integrity of the site perimeter and buildings through physical patrols and vehicle checks.
  • Emergency Response: Support emergency procedures, including musters, evacuations, and assisting with other roles during incidents.
  • Vehicle Searches: Carry out vehicle searches as required to maintain high levels of security.
  • Incident Reporting: Accurately record incidents and complete necessary reports in a clear and legible manner.
  • Visitor Management: Register contractors, issue temporary badges, book in/out vehicles, and direct visitors around the site.
  • Control Room Operation: Manage control room, gatehouse, and reception systems, as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Valid SIA licence (desirable)
  • Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS / SC purposes)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • First Aid at Work
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year education or employment check able history
  • Reliable, punctual and well presented at all times.
  • Customer focused, polite, tactful and discrete.
  • Health and Safety at Work (desirable)
