Your new companyYou will be working for a large housing provider who own and manage over 50,000 homes and various community assets, serving 114,000 customers. The client is focussing on delivering 10,000 homes by 2030, ensuring affordable housing is built where it's needed most. They are investing in our communities, to address local issues and create opportunities for everyone.Your new roleAs a field housing officer, you will be managing a patch of approximately 800 properties, spending 70-80% of your time in the field delivering a proactive tenancy and property management service, as well as responding to customer enquiries as appropriate. The closest office is in Yeovil which you will be required to attend for training, team meetings and team collaboration days, but we also have an agile working policy, so working from home or other locations in between customer appointments is an option.Your role will be to connect the customer to the company by carrying out home visits at key stages of the tenancy, ensuring they have the skills, information and support required to succeed. You'll have a focus on property condition to make sure it is suitable, safe and being maintained by both the customer and us to a satisfactory standard.You'll have a regular presence in our communities, completing estate and block inspections and will work with other teams and external partners to make sure our neighbourhoods are welcoming, clean, safe and where people want to live. What you'll need to succeedExperience and Knowledge

  • Experience of tenancy and neighbourhood management OR
  • Delivery of front-line customer service in a related field
  • Knowledge of relevant housing management and tenancy related legislation and legal processes
  • Experience of the legal processes for dealing with breaches of tenancy (desirable)
  • Experience of working with vulnerable customers in challenging environments
  • Multi-agency working
