We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist college in Yeovil that provides exceptional education and care for students aged 16 - 25 with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.

As a Post-16 SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing students for adulthood, delivering a curriculum focused on independent living, functional skills and personal development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver a personalised, skills-based curriculum, focusing on independent living, employability and personal resilience

  • Plan and teach engaging functional English and Maths lessons, ensuring students develop essential life and work skills

  • Lead structured PSHE lessons, helping students build confidence, social understanding and emotional regulation

  • Work as a personal tutor to a small group of students, guiding them to achieve their EHCP goals

  • Collaborate with care teams, therapists and employers to create meaningful work experience and life skills opportunities

  • Support the college’s mission to continually innovate and improve post-16 SEN education
