We are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation with operations across the South West, who are looking to appoint an Aids and Adaptations Surveyor on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based across the South West, offering hybrid working and a salary of £48,944.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant HNC/HNQ Qualifications, proven experience of building maintenance and up to date knowledge of relevant Aids and Adaptations policy and practices.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

- Providing line management and expertise to a team focusing on Alterations, Adaptations and Property Permissions across a designated area, including technical management of all required inspections

- Undertaking pre and post inspections for property adaptations

- Supporting customers in applying for local authority grant funding, and appointing suitable contractors, both internal and external

- Ensuring the business maintains compliance with statutory functions

- Investigating adaptation requests and managing the process with thought given to the lifecycle of the property

- Producing and approving specifications of work

- Project managing complex repairs, including producing technical reports and drawings

- Calculating specifications and managing works against pre-agreed budgets

- Approving DFG requests

Experience required:

- Experience required in Social Housing

- Up to date knowledge & understanding of the professional, policy, legal, practical & technical issues relevant to property alterations and adaptations
