Morson Technical Services are currently seeking an Aircraft Operative to join the team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.

JOB PURPOSE

- The Operative will report to the WBM Hangar & Tool Store Supervisor.
- The primary role and responsibility is to provide aircraft cleaning support to Zonal Teams and to assist the WBM Tool Store-Person role.
- As aircraft are allotted to the hangar the Aircraft Controller is to liaise with the WBM Hangar & Tool store Supervisor for support from the Operatives. Once agreed, the Operative is to report to the Aircraft Controller and remain under their direction until task completion, to carry out the following:
o Clean the aircraft and components prior to inspection by maintenance Technicians as required.
o Assist with aircraft and component movements.
- Other tasks as directed by the Supervisor / Controller.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

- Maintain the correct stock levels of FLAP in support of 12 hangar activity.
- Maintaining all tooling and GSE to the required standard IAW relevant documentation and direction from the WBM Hangar & Tool store Supervisor.
- Provision of tooling to the work force using the TC Max system and manual accounting when the system is offline.
- Delivery and collection of tooling and FLAP in support of WBM.
- Delivery and collection of components between WBM sections.
- Clean aircraft structure and compartments IAW procedures identified in the CIETP.
- Assist with aircraft washing.
- Cleaning of panels and Line Replaceable Units as directed.
- Clean lines and pipes as required.
- Observing authorised tool control and FOD procedures.
- Actively participate in the WMS Maintenance Error Management System (MEMS).
- Comply with the Company's Quality, Health and Safety policy.
- Carry out any task in support of the Contract, within their capability, experience and Authorisation levels, as directed by WMS management.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Must have good planning and time-keeping skills.
- Experience of working in an aviation environment would be advantageous.
- Full Driving Licence essential and Airfield Driving Permit (FMT 600A) beneficial.
