  • Candidates must hold a full driving license with categories D1 and E and a valid Airfield Driving Permit.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a preference for candidates possessing relevant experience in helicopter maintenance operations.




Morson Technical Services are currently seeking multiple Mechanical biased engineers to join the Role Equipment Team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.

JOB PURPOSE / ACTIVITIES

  • RE Engineer will conduct the required inspections, maintenance and documentation, including IT systems
  • The RE Engineer will be required to assist the RE Supervisor in delivering the specified equipment configuration control, support, training and maintenance, servicing and defect rectification functions, including but not limited to:
    • Conducting maintenance, preservation, anti-deterioration maintenance, servicing and defect rectification activities to RE and TEE holdings.
    • In the absence of the Supervisor, supply, issue, control and accept returns of all Modifications kits and Role Equipment to the Wildcat Fleet as directed.
    • Assist with GOLDesp data creation as required IAW JAP(D)100A-0409-1&2.
    • Assist the RE Supervisor to maintain compliancy with accounting transaction principles and regulations.
    • Assist with the management of repairable assets through workshops / supply chain.
    • Assist the Supervisor with the day to day running of the section and carry out any additional tasks as directed.
    • Maintain a full driving licence including category D1 and E, with the necessary classifications                 required for towing a trailer, and hold a valid Airfield Driving Permit

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to a minimum of BTEC level 2 in an aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering training followed by relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes, including practical experience of forward operational support.
  • An understanding of the military helicopter operating environment and command structure, and of deployment and operational planning.
  • Self-motivated and work within teams.
