Morson Technical Services are currently seeking an Aircraft Simulator Deputy Lead UK on a permanent basis to be based at RNAS Yeovilton
PURPOSE -
The Deputy Support Lead UK will be responsible for the support to the client’s products and services in a customer-facing, post-delivery environment specifically focused on aircraft simulation training equipment.
- Responsible to the Support Lead (UK) to ensure the delivery of training support contracts
- Identify and produce support solutions to enable delivery of both the business and customer requirements
- Support to Training capability development and growth
- Support to Training bids and solutions
- Deliver the Service Level Agreement through agreed KPI’s.
The primary focus of this role is to support a team of engineers to achieve high levels of customer service & device availability and to communicate to multiple areas of the business, across all geography’s the status of services delivered.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Organisation:
- Act is focal point of contact for the customer for Training Support and Services
- Support the Support Lead as required in fulfilling business and Customer needs.
- Build and maintain relationships between the multiple departments, customers and suppliers.
- Excellent communication, regular reviews, performance feedback, and the setting of appropriate work objectives and targets
Services and Support Projects:
- Support of training devices and equipment to enable operational availability targets to be achieved
- Provide management and support for the onsite engineering teams, escalating, resolving and closely monitoring critical issues impacting training delivery
- Produce periodic Support Service Summaries in the form of written reports and customer presentations
- Provide support to the customer both verbally and with the use of an online problem reporting system.
- Intervene and provide holistic solutions in the event of device or product unserviceability
- Carry out regular inventory audits to ensure a suitably spares level across the product range is maintained to uphold device availability.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine recommended spare part requirements for upcoming deliverables, working closely with the Material specialists for procurement and logistics
- Act as the Health & Safety representative to ensure engineering teams comply with company policies
- Deputise for the Support Lead UK in their absence
General:
- You are responsible for ensuring that activities under your control are undertaken in accordance with the requirements set out in the AWL SHE Policy, Health & Safety Operating manual, Health & Safety Policies & Procedures (HSP’s) and Environmental Management System (EMS). These documents identify your key responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act and other relevant HS&E legislation.

Desirable:
- Educated to HND level or have demonstrated equivalent competency obtained through experience within Aerospace Engineering, Simulation or other comparable industry.
- High PC literacy, with an excellent understanding of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with project management and issue tracking tools
