Place of Work

The primary location of this role will be at our Head Office, Wilberforce House.

Purpose of the job:

To assist in the effective day to day administrative operations of the Finance Department.

This role would suit an experienced Accounts Officer with a skill set involving purchase ledger, payroll, cash & banking, and account reconciliation.

Main Duties:

Purchase Ledger

  • To carry out and maintain the Purchase Ledger operation on Sage 50 Accounts; with mid and end of month payment runs.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of the Aged Creditors Control Account

Payroll

  • To carry out and maintain the Payroll operation on Sage 50 Payroll; with an end of month payroll run.
  • Inputting of Payroll / Pension journals to Sage accounts

Sales Ledger

  • To assist in the monthly invoicing where required.
  • To assist in the reconciliation of the Aged Debtors Control Account

Banking

  • Entering BACS payments / collections on internet Banking
  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations.
    • Assist with the reconciling of Petty Cash

General:

Previous experience with Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll and Microsoft Office systems would be ideal.

  • To manage time effectively
  • An eye for detail and excellent communications skills are a necessity.
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with all Wilberforce Trust staff
