Job Purpose
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients, acting in a pivotal role beneath the seniors and managers
  • Conduct audit assignments from planning to completion, championing quality and compliance
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with clients’ business operations, financials and reporting processes
  • Support Managers by undertaking fieldwork and in-office work where required
  • Preparation of accounts and tax computations within audit engagements
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations
  • Build strong relationships with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Project manage multiple audit engagements, prioritising tasks and allocating resources to ensure deadlines are met
  • Deliver a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy
  • Provide guidance, supervision and mentorships to junior audit staff
  • Keep up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function
  • Manage your own workload autonomously, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities where possible

Job Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • A minimum of two years’ audit experience within UK practice
  • Proven track record of overseeing owner-managed small to medium business accounts is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and auditing principles
  • Good knowledge of relevant accounting software, including Microsoft Office, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team
  • Ability to build enhance relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload
  • Keen to progress within the firm and learn from an experienced team
