It's rare to see a Group Financial Controller role with Growth Shares in the package. The Group FD sees this Group FC role as a critical component to getting the finance function to where it needs to be.
As a result, you'll be in line for a rather large payday as a financial reward for your efforts in the next 2-3 years.
AND, check all of this that you'll be able to add all of this meaty experience to your development ticklist/achievements in the role in just 2-3 years:
- Group Consolidation and help shape a new finance function
- Creation and development of a new Group Finance Team (consisting of a management accountant, financial accountant and transactions team)
- ERP Implementation
- Team management and development
- Setting up and improving financial controls, systems/processes
- Exposure to Debt Markets
- Supporting integrating at least three significant acquisitions in Year 1 and similar in Year 2
- Sale of the business.
Your career development is in good hands as an aspiring, ambitious, qualified accountant. The Group FD has an enviable track record of building and growing businesses.
Better still, people who have worked under him in prior roles have gone on to more significant, better roles, including becoming Finance Directors.
What they'd like to see from your career to date:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified with PQE
- Worked in a high-growth business / evidence of strong progression and development
- Experience in financial accounting, management accounting, and group reporting
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial accounting software and experience with ERP systems
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of finance professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
