A skilled Interim Financial Accountant is sought for a temporary position in the retail industry, primarily responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and reporting within the Accounting & Finance department in York.

Our client is a renowned player in the retail industry. They are a PE backed organisation with a strong presence across the country, known for their commitment to excellence and a customer-focused approach. The role will be a max 4 days on site in York.
Description
The main purpose of the role will be to pull the organisations financial data which is across multiple platforms into one, the data will then need unifying, understanding and then analysing in order to get the group ready for the upcoming audit. Fundamentally aligning various business entities into the wider group.
Other duties will include;
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
- Coordinating with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
- Supporting the Accounting & Finance department by performing various financial tasks
Profile
A successful Interim Financial Accountant should have:
- A fully qualified accreditation - ACA, ACCA etc
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Job Offer
- A competitive daily rate of £350-450 (can be outside IR35 due to the project nature of the role).
- Initial short term role 2/3 months with a strong likelihood of extension.
