Management Accountant
A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Management Accountant. This role involves deputising for the Finance and Corporate Services Director and supporting senior operations managers in financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in management accounting, with experience in the not-for-profit sector being highly advantageous.
Day-to-day of the role:- Produce monthly management reports for all budget holders, including detailed variance analysis, and regularly meet with budget holders to review these.
- Support the Director of Finance in the budget building process, providing detailed analysis and working with budget holders to evidence needs and requests.
- Provide financial returns as required by service/contract commissioners to the Service Managers.
- Analyse key financial data and advise senior management on strategic planning.
- Prepare financial reports and budgets, control and forecast income and expenditure.
- Qualified Accountant with CCAB (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA) or similar qualification/experience
- Substantial experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager.
- Proficiency in business management and accounting software such as Accounts IQ, Sage 200, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector, particularly in a charity, is desirable.
