Job Type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent

Salary:£80,000 - £125,000 per annum, depending on experience

Requirements:CTA qualified for 5+ years, must have previous experience working in an equivalent role within a UK accounting environment, Strong mixed technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax, Proven ability to manage a diverse client portfolio, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior team members

As a Tax Director, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic tax practices of the firm. Your role will encompass identifying complex tax planning and compliance projects, mentoring a team of dedicated tax professionals, and enhancing the client relationships through exceptional advisory services. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is not only technically proficient but also possesses a keen insight into optimising business tax strategies for a varied clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the tax compliance department, supporting with budget creation and overall responsibility for team KPIs.

Creation of appropriate processes, procedures and practices for the business, with responsibility for implementing / integrating those into existing offices and future mergers and acquisitions.

Provide expert advice and foster relationships with clients to understand their business goals, identifying tax planning opportunities which address their unique challenges whilst delivering best in class service.

Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients and internal teams on their implications, as well as ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax filings for clients

Oversee and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on technical matters and fostering a culture of continuing professional development.

Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax planning into overall client financial strategies.

Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on the latest tax laws and compliance procedures.

Represent the firm in dealings with tax authorities and other regulatory bodies.

Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and ensure the team adheres to professional standards.

Manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, ensuring all compliance and advisory services are delivered to a high standard

Review tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff
