A multidisciplinary practice in York is looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their team. Established over 40 years ago, the practice is committed to the full integration of interior design, architecture, and project management. Working with prestigious names in the hospitality and leisure sectors with projects across the UK.

As an Architectural Technologist you will be part of a team providing high-quality conceptual designs and supported by an in-depth technical team to ensure full delivery of projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the concept and technical aspects of design and develop project briefs, ensuring buildings are both attractive and functional.
  • Ensure materials used are suitable and Building Regulations are met.
  • Coordinate with project management and design teams.
  • Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures.
  • Assess and ensure surveys (i.e., land surveys) are undertaken.
  • Prepare and present design proposals.
  • Carry out design stage risk assessments.
  • Administer contracts and project certifications.
  • Attend site visits when necessary.


Qualifications and requirements:

  • Experience in AutoCAD
  • Qualified in either HNC/HND Building Studies (CIAT desirable but not required).
  • Ability to communicate well with individuals and authorities at all levels.
  • A full driving license.
