Job Title: Legal Cashier & Administration Assistant

Location: York City Centre

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Are you a legal cashier looking to work for a fun and friendly accounts team? Are you currently working in accounts and looking for a new challenge?

Based in the centre of York our client is looking for someone to get involved in all aspects of legal cashiering as well as supporting the Finance Direct and Practice Manager.

Applicants should have great attention to detail, ambition, a positive outlook and be a team player.

We are a very flexible employer offering top rates of pay and good working conditions.

Skills Required:

  • Ideally previous legal accounts experience although not essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player

Job Description:

  • Maintaining office and client ledgers
  • Daily Bank reconciliations
  • Processing transactions including money received and payments out
  • Processing completions
  • Checking and approving e-bills
  • Client to office Transfers
  • Month End procedures
  • Purchase Ledger
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll and logging staff holidays
  • Dealing with administrative issues
  • Any other Ad hoc duties that are required
