Commutable from Beverley, Goole, Market Weighton, Pocklington or York

Permanent role work Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm (hybrid work available for the right person)

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join a growing company based near York at North Newbald

The Role

  • Overall responsibility of the sales ledger UK & US entity
  • Ensure invoices are posted and cash allocated on a daily basis
  • Resolving queries with customers in a timely manner
  • Chase and collect customer debts as agreed in the terms of trade
  • Issue copy invoices as requested & monthly statements to all customers
  • Organise reminder letters to customers in respect of overdue amounts (liaise with account manager as necessary)
  • Maintain complete and accurate notes and interactions on our systemCredit checking and opening customer accounts
  • Collate information to facilitate decision on credit limits to be applied
  • Ensure accounts are set up correctly with relevant terms of trade, credit limit, currency, vat code/number, company number Take decision to release held orders or escalate to management for higher risk or larger items
  • Prepare a weekly Drs Report and present to the team

Skills and Experience  

  • Excellent excel skill
  • Be highly organised and able to plan, prioritise and manage your own workload
  • Take ownership and accountability in order to meet deadlines and deliver results
  • High attention to detail
  • Be able to solve problems
  • Determined, enthusiastic and proactive
  • Able to develop strong relationships across the team to support others in performing their roles effectively
  • Able to develop strong Customer relationships
  • Confident and effective customer phone skills & negotiation skills
  • Ability to assess risks related to new customer account credit limits
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be beneficial but not essential
