About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and report daily sales and orders.
  • Process accounts payable and authorised invoices.
  • Handle authorised expenses and cash expenses.
  • Process resale invoices.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute liquidity reports.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalisation of plant and equipment.
  • Assist with the submission of VAT returns.
  • Support month-end processes, including currency, accruals, prepayment, and depreciation journals.
  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Manage the company car fleet and stationery supplies.
  • Provide cover for credit control as needed.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to health and safety policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • AAT Level 2 completed, with progression towards Level 3 or 4.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements.
