About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and report daily sales and orders.
- Process accounts payable and authorised invoices.
- Handle authorised expenses and cash expenses.
- Process resale invoices.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and distribute liquidity reports.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalisation of plant and equipment.
- Assist with the submission of VAT returns.
- Support month-end processes, including currency, accruals, prepayment, and depreciation journals.
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Manage the company car fleet and stationery supplies.
- Provide cover for credit control as needed.
- Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- AAT Level 2 completed, with progression towards Level 3 or 4.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements.
