Insurance Business Development Executive

MERJE is seeking a driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to join a leading health and insurance company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop new business for corporate health and wellbeing products using a consultative approach across a geographic region.

Salary £32,000 plus upto 50% bonus

Location: Hybrid (West Yorkshire)

12 Months FTC

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, achieving sales targets, and building long-term client relationships. This role offers a blend of virtual and telephone-based sales, with opportunities for face-to-face interactions.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:

  • Develop and win new business for corporate health & wellbeing products
  • Achieve set personal quarterly targets and contribute to departmental goals
  • Conduct thorough fact-finding to understand client needs and present tailored solutions
  • Manage pipeline effectively using CRM systems
  • Utilise marketing tools and market intelligence to target and sell health and wellbeing propositions

Required knowledge and experience for the Business Development Executive role:

  • Minimum 18 months experience in a B2B-based role
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving targets against budget
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and objection handling skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently and prioritise workload
  • Experience in sourcing leads and building relationships using a consultative approach
