Adecco's specialist Property Services Division are proud to have been commissioned to partner with Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) to assist them in recruiting a permanent Repairs Manager for their Asset Management division on to work out of their offices located in York.

JRHT is a provider of housing and care, managing around 2,500 homes across York, North Yorkshire, and parts of the Northeast.

Job Purpose

  • To oversee the delivery of responsive and empty home work to high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure the delivery of a high-quality service that meets the needs of tenants, leaseholders and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • To have a structured approach to reviewing and improving performance and understand how to manage budgets and employees effectively in order to get the best out of the resources available.
  • To undertake performance reviews of the in-house maintenance service to ensure value for money and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements - Essential

  • Recognised qualification at degree or diploma level in a building related subject or relevant experience in Housing Maintenance Service Delivery.
  • Demonstrate capability to lead and support a diverse team.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge of CDM project management.
  • Experience of procuring services through frameworks and direct services.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage KPI's including budgets effectively.
  • Experience of managing teams through a change process.
  • Effective skills in resident engagement and involvement.

Candidate Requirements - Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of social housing sector in terms of regulatory framework, consumer standards and operating environment.
  • Experience of implementing energy efficiency measures within homes.
  • Experience in the role of CDMC.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology and software systems.
