The Company: A highly regarding and now expanding IFA business based in the York area looking to bring in an experienced, fully QCF Level 4 Diploma qualified Paraplanner. Part of a larger group and with multiple sites across the North of England this is an opportunity to join an established wealth management firm who adopt a very focused, client-centric approach to advice:

  • Office Location: Clifton Moor, North York
  • Hybrid/Home Working: Yes - 3-days office/2-days WFH

Package: £38-42k base DOE + 15% annual bonus and full company benefits:

  • Benefits: Scottish Widows pension, quarterly recognition awards, support with professional development (CII) as well as free parking on site
  • Holidays: 25-days + stats
  • Standard hours: 37.5hrs p/w - 9am-5pm (Mon-Fri)

The Role: A private wealth biased Paraplanning role/remit providing key product research and suitability report writing support to multiple high performing IFA’s. Key accountabilities include:

  • Compile suitability reports detailing recommended advice to suit the clients’ needs
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with clients - Keeping them informed, answering technical queries and arranging review meetings where appropriate
  • Carry out product research and analyse products and services that are appropriate to each client’s financial circumstances
  • Complete regular reviews of clients’ portfolios to support the ongoing client relationship - Including maintaining a client review system to regularly assess client holdings and changing priorities
  • Effectively use research and planning systems and platforms
  • Be responsible for ensuring that recommendations are fully implemented to time and quality

The Person: Experience in a 'whole of market’ IFA business environment is preferred, with a technical/paraplanning background within the investments/pensions arena.

  • Required: QCF Level 4 Diploma qualified (or close to)
  • Required: A breadth of case exposure career to date inclusive of more complex investments, pensions, IHT planning and trust work
